Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE)

The Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE) credential is the premier certification for professionals who analyze the business requirements and design and implement the infrastructure for business solutions based on the Microsoft Windows Server 2003 platform. Implementation responsibilities include installing, configuring, and troubleshooting network systems.
Traditionally, organizations have been selecting the network administrators in their organizations based on the years of experience the individual had. With the growing influx of computers, and hence, networks in organizations, very soon emerged a gap in the availability of experienced manpower to meet the demands of the corporate. A unique way identified to bridge the “experience gap” was to set a certification that would enable organizations to identify individuals with the necessary skills and knowledge to implement, support and administer complex networks.
MCSE is one of such credential and is the most widely recognized technical certifications in the industry. By earning the premier MCSE credential, individuals are demonstrating that they have the skills necessary to lead organizations in the successful design, implementation, and administration of the most advanced Windows operating system.

NIIT Model
Individuals, looking at making an entry in to the network administration/software development world with little or no prior experience or exposure, find it difficult to cope with the rigors of such intensive MCSE training.  Also the program conducted within a short span of 15-20 days, requires individuals to pay up the entire course fee up front. This put a large financial constraint on many an individuals, who are unable to therefore pursue the program. This therefore brings us to two main considerations of providing such high-end programs to new aspiring IT professionals and individuals:

• Designing Security for a Microsoft Windows Server 2003 Network

The content of the modules maps to the exam objectives of the given International Certification Examination

The student will either receive the Certificate of Competence or the Certificate of Participation.

If the student has appeared for the Module Tests, the end program performance referred to, as Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA), will be calculated.

To be eligible for the Certificate of Competence, the student should have met the following criteria:

1. Minimum Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of 2.0 on the scale of 4.
2. Attendance of >= 60 % in the program.

In case the student fails to achieve a minimum CGPA of 2.0 or does not attempt the appraisals, the student will receive the Certificate of Participation, provided the attendance in the program is >=60%.
